Trip to Oklahoma City
For Labor Day weekened we decided to check out Oklahoma City. It is only a few hours north of Dallas and it is a really pretty drive.
This is the Memorial that now stands where the Federal Building used to be before it was bombed in 1995.
This is also at the Federal Building Memorial. The chairs in the background represent every person that got killed that day. There are smaller ones for the children that died.
In the downtown area there was a riverwalk that you could tour downtown in a boat. It was really great, just really squishy. Plus, I had to nurse Peyton right in the middle of it and the little girl next to me kept screaming, "Mommy, what is the baby doing?" It was hilarious.

The hotel was almost the best part of the trip. There was a Sooner's game and a huge rodeo in town so we drove to four different hotels before we finally gave up and spent $300 on this fantastic 2 bedroom suite at the Marriot. It really was sweeeet. The boys had a blast. We all had our own beds. It was great.

Carter's First Day of Pre-School
Hooray! Carter has started preschool. He has been so excited for this day for over a year now. He started out the day with a bowl of oatmeal next to his best friend Hayden.
Hayden was as excited as Carter, but he didn't realize that he would be coming home with me and that Carter would be staying. He stood right by Carter for as long as he could.

Trev & Ted's Visit
My youngest brother Trevor and his girl friend Tedi came and played with us for a week. It was Tedi's birthday so the boys helped me make a birthday cake and they were going nuts waiting for Trev & Tedi to get here. Of course they were excited to see Trevor, but they were really excited to help Tedi eat her cake.
Carter played the piano for us while we sang Happy Birthday to Tedi.
Baby Peyton wasn't to interested in exploring all of Dallas so we just chilled at the house and watched a lot of Olympics, but we did get out to Dallas Zoo one day.
